“We had a lovely family stay by the beach, with great food, water aerobics, and fun kids’ activities. Our children, aged”
It’s beautifully located by the beach, and I really enjoyed the water aerobics. There was also a good selection of food, with plenty of options to choose from. One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely surprise the hotel arranged for our wedding anniversary. I contacted the hotel beforehand to ask if they could do something special, and they went the extra mile by decorating our bedroom. My husband and the children were so surprised! ❤️ Thank you so much for making our anniversary extra special — we truly appreciate the effort. The staff are hardworking, friendly, and always willing to help. There are also evening activities available, although unfortunately we couldn’t join many of them as we were all exhausted after our busy days. Our children, aged 6 and 8, absolutely loved the kids’ activities and had such a wonderful time. We had a lovely and unexpected experience while walking along the shore — we even had a special encounter with baby sea turtles! 🐢🌊💙 It was such a beautiful and memorable moment for our family. ✨ Overall, we had a lovely family stay and really appreciated the effort the hotel made to make our anniversary memorable. ❤️🌴

“Cheap family resort”
I loved most of staff's service except Sunday breakfast manager at the buffet place. Captain guy was talking down and rude and food service staff pushed my kid to spill cock qnd never apologized.
I didn't like the check-in desk staff who didn't answer all my questions and referring me to concierge who also was not confident on information about dinner reservation, etc. Of course we weren't able to reserve any dinner restaurants even with 2 phones we used to do that right at 1100.

Terrible experience! The AC in the restaurants was horrible, and the food was not good at all. What really shocked me was hearing the pool host repeatedly telling guests, “No pee-pee in the pool,” which was completely unprofessional and inappropriate for a hotel environment. Overall, this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I was extremely disappointed with the service, food, and overall experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely would not return.

The family categories add a bunk bed, and the largest is the 61 m² Family Suite Paradise for up to seven. The Crown Club rooms on the club level are for adults 18 and over, and some come with a hydromassage tub.
| Room | Size | Sleeps | Beds |

| Standard Plus | 38 m² | 5 | 1 king and 1 bunk bed |
| Standard Family Room | 38 m² | 5 | 1 super-king and 1 bunk bed |

Budget for the taxes. In our mid-January 2027 price check for three nights for two, a Standard Ocean View room cost $831 all-inclusive, plus $159 in taxes and fees at checkout, about 19% on top. In mid-November 2026 it was $737 plus $141, and in early June 2027 $735 plus $140. The hotel also collects an environmental tax of MXN 85.41 per room per night on arrival.
The Crown Club costs little more. In mid-January the adults-only Crown Club room cost $923 plus $176, about $92 more than a standard room for three nights. Guests praise the VIP lounge and its bar staff.
Check what's not included. The spa, phone calls and motorised water sports cost extra. The hotel closed the water park for maintenance from May 2 to 30 and from September 14 to 26, 2026, so ask about closures if the slides are the reason you are booking.
What Guests Say About Crown Paradise Club
Across 2,245 reviews, Crown Paradise holds an 8.2 out of 10. Recent guests are more divided: the 120 most recent reviews, from late May to mid-September 2026, average 7.6, with 44 perfect 10s and 17 scores of 4 or lower. We read the 83 that had written comments.
Families love the water park and the kids' program. Parents describe the slides, the Kids Paradise area and the kids' activities as the reason they booked, and one family with children aged 6 and 8 said the children had a wonderful time. Guests also praise the beachfront location, the evening shows and the adults-only pool, and one family watched sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach in the evening.
The staff are the most praised part. Guests name waiters, bartenders, housekeepers and the team at the French restaurant, Sans Souci, which several guests single out. One family arranged an anniversary surprise in advance, and the hotel decorated their room.
The complaints are about age and crowds. Around ten guests describe slow or broken lifts, some without air-conditioning, and about nine call the building old or tired. Around a dozen could not get specialty-restaurant reservations, which they say fill within minutes of opening each morning. At least six describe long check-in queues, several of about an hour. Several describe queues at the buffet and bars and weak Wi-Fi, four had showers that flooded the bathroom floor, and two found cockroaches in their room.
What You Should Know
- Book specialty dinners the moment reservations open. Guests say tables go within minutes, and one was told to ask at the restaurant door if the app showed nothing.
- Expect a wait at check-in. Several guests waited about an hour, and rooms were sometimes not ready until 4pm.
- Use the stairs on busy days. Guests describe long waits for lifts that are slow, hot and sometimes out of service.
- Claim a sun lounger early. Guests describe loungers taken from first thing in the morning and little shade by the slides.
