Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe is a family-friendly all-inclusive at Km 17, on the wide beach at the southern end of the Cancún Hotel Zone. Guests score it 9.2 out of 10 across 1,382 reviews, and it was one of the lowest-priced all-inclusives we compared. Guests praise the staff, pools and entertainment; restaurant bookings and housekeeping draw the complaints. Check live prices for your dates below.
Why Guests Choose It
- Good value: one of the lowest-priced all-inclusives we compared, from $1,050 for three November nights for two before taxes.
- Built for all ages: a kids' camp children asked to go back to, a children's pool, an adults-only pool area with its own servers, and families from toddlers to grandparents in the reviews.
- An entertainment team guests name one by one, running aqua aerobics, boot camp and dance by day and themed shows at night.
- Plenty of space: guests describe large pools where they never struggled for a lounger before midday, and rooms that were cleaned to a high standard for most.
- Restaurants guests single out include La Luce (Italian), Noriku (Asian, with hibachi), Maxal (Mexican) and Flama (steakhouse), plus a 24-hour café.
Best for
- Families who want a kids' camp, pools and activities at a mid-range price
- Groups of mixed ages, with an adults-only pool area for the grown-ups
- Hilton Honors members, some of whom describe extra touches such as a members' drink-tasting class
Think twice if
- You want to walk to shops or restaurants: guests say there's nothing within walking distance
- You want late nights: pools, beach and spa close at 8pm and the main bar before 11pm
- You hate booking dinners: guests describe reservations two days ahead and a temperamental app

“Returning guests... Jarlin was amazing!”
This was pur second time back to Hilton Mar Caribe and it didnt disappoint! There was something to do every night, multiple activities throughout the day or children and adults. If you have picky eaters, dietary restrictions or severe allergies, this is the place to go with complete peace of mind. Jarlin was absolutely exceptional. He made our entire family feel welcomed, taken care of and ensured we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions to make sure none of the kiddos felt left out.

“5⭐ The best all-inclusive we've stayed at in Mexico!”
We’ve just had the most amazing two weeks at Hilton Mar Caribe, and without a doubt it’s the best all-inclusive hotel we’ve stayed at in Mexico. We were a family of 8, ranging from 5 to 80 years old, and every single one of us had the best time. The staff work tirelessly to make your stay feel luxurious and relaxing, and from the moment we arrived we felt completely at home. The hotel itself is beautiful. The décor is stunning, and we had a large sea-view room with a spacious balcony and a gorgeous bathroom with a huge freestanding bath. The only small thing that could have been explained better at check-in is the QR code on the hotel wristband. We initially thought we needed the app, which we struggled to set up with our booking number, so it would have been helpful if someone had pointed out that the QR code gives you access to the daily schedule. Food & Restaurants The restaurants were fantastic, with plenty of choice for adults. Our favourites were the Italian and Asian restaurants, and the food was excellent throughout our stay. The only slight downside was that the children's menu was a little limited, but it certainly didn’t spoil the experience. Pools, Activities & Entertainment The gym has a great range of equipment and regular fitness classes. It isn’t huge, but it never felt overcrowded. There are activities running throughout the day. We loved the water aerobics, and the afternoon games at the North Pool were always good fun. Some activities, like aqua aerobics, need booking in advance. The entertainment team—Michelle, David, AJ and Monica (plus two others whose names I sadly can’t remember!)—were brilliant at getting everyone involved without being pushy. Kids Club The Kids Club deserves a special mention. My daughter absolutely loved it and especially loved Mitch, who she said was incredibly kind. The activities were fantastic—bracelet making, arts and crafts, Uno tournaments, pizza making—and she couldn’t wait to go back every day. Excursions We booked two excursions through the hotel. Xplor was incredible and is an absolute must-do. Although my 5-year-old couldn’t go on one of the larger slides, we all completed the 7-line zipline course—including our 80-year-old family member! Exploring the caves was amazing, and the buffet lunch had loads of choice. We also did the Whale Shark excursion, which was genuinely magical. Swimming alongside such incredible animals was unforgettable. The only downside was that it felt quite chaotic, with a lot of boats and people around the whale sharks, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. Outstanding Service On our last evening I tripped and bumped my head. I didn’t want to make a fuss, but the hotel’s medical team were already waiting outside the restaurant to check I was okay and give me an ice pack. It was such a thoughtful touch and really summed up how well the staff look after their guests. A special thank you to the amazing pool bar staff—Baak, Marcos, Carlos and Gabriel—who were all incredibly friendly, attentive and kept the drinks flowing with a smile throughout our stay. They really helped make our holiday extra special. Would We Return? Absolutely. This holiday had the perfect mix of relaxation, amazing food and drinks, family activities and exceptional service. We’ve visited Mexico four times before and stayed at other all-inclusive hotels, but Hilton Mar Caribe is by far our favourite. Thank you to everyone at Hilton Mar Caribe for giving us such a wonderful family holiday. We’ll definitely be back! 🌴☀️

“Adrian at Hilton Mar Caribe”
Adrian is amazing. First he taught Boot Camp, which was excellent. He set the room up, explained all of the exercises. Encourage us while we were working out, kept time well. And pushed us to be better. Then an hour later he taught aqua aerobics. He set all the equipment up in the pool, and taught an amazing aqua aerobics class. Would definitely recommend taking any of his classes.

Which Room to Book at Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe
Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe's standard rooms are sold by view, from Resort View up to Premium Ocean View, with a king bed or two queens. Above them sit the Enclave club rooms on the beachfront and suites of about 105 m².
| Room | Size | Sleeps | Beds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resort View Room | 52 m² | 2 to 4 | 1 king or 2 queens |
| Ocean View Room | 41 m² | 3 | 2 queens |
| Premium Ocean View Room | 52 m² | 3 or 4 | 1 king or 2 queens |
| Enclave Beachfront Room (terrace, balcony or ground floor) | 41 m² | 3 or 4 | 1 king or 2 queens |
| Ocean View, Pool and Patio View and Enclave Suites | 105 m² | 4 to 8 | King plus Murphy beds; two-bedroom versions |
| Honeymoon Suite (also Enclave) | 105 m² | 2 | 1 king |
The sea view costs very little. In our mid-November 2026 price check for three nights, a Resort View room cost $1,050, an Ocean View room $1,087 and a Premium Ocean View room $1,114, all before about 15% in taxes and fees. In June 2027 the same stay started at $1,068. One family with a Juliet balcony over the north pool loved their room; another guest's first room had no balcony and picked up music from the Chala Sky Bar.
Enclave is the club level, and opinions differ. Enclave rooms sit on the beachfront, some with terraces opening onto the sand, and come with a lounge, the rooftop Chala Sky Bar and help with dinner bookings. Several guests say it was worth it for the room alone; others felt the concierge added little. One family was offered it at check-in for $80 per room per night and decided they didn't need it. Enclave rates weren't among those we could price.
Pick a rate labelled all-inclusive. A few rates in our booking system were labelled "Room Only". Expect an environmental tax of MX$145.24 per night at check-in.
What Guests Say About Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe
Across 1,382 reviews, Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe scores 9.2 out of 10. We read the 116 most recent reviews that included text, from June to early September 2026; 98 of the 120 most recent gave a perfect 10.
The staff and entertainment make it. Guests name pool servers, bartenders, buffet waiters and concierges again and again, and several were on their second or third stay. The entertainment team runs aqua aerobics, boot camp and dance by day and themed shows at night, and parents praise the kids' camp. The spa's hydrotherapy circuit, with sauna, steam room, cold plunge and hot tub, is a favourite; treatments cost extra.
Food draws mixed reviews. Many guests rate the restaurants highly, especially La Luce, Noriku and Maxal; others call the food average, find the buffet small, or rate the Italian and steakhouse poorly. The cocktails at the bars get strong praise.
The complaints are about logistics. Restaurant reservations come up most: guests describe booking two days ahead, an app that fails, no online booking for groups of six or more, and one guest felt loyalty members got the best slots. Several guests describe housekeeping that skipped days or left too few towels. Others mention little shade by the pools, toilets far from the beach, sargassum in June, and early closing times.
What You Should Know
- Book your dinners as soon as you arrive. Guests say restaurants fill two days ahead; if the app fails, go to the concierge desk in person.
- Scan the QR code on your wristband for the daily schedule. One family wasted time trying to set up the app before realising the code does the job.
- Find a lounger before midday. Guests say the big pools rarely run short, but shade is limited, so claim an umbrella early.
- Plan trips out carefully. The resort is at Km 17 with nothing in walking distance, and one guest paid $80 round trip for a taxi of about 8 miles.
Getting to Hilton Cancún Mar Caribe
The resort is at Km 17 on Boulevard Kukulcán, at the southern end of the Hotel Zone, next door to Fiesta Americana Condesa. That puts it closer to the airport than the Punta Cancún resorts; see our Cancún airport transfer guide for transfer options. Some guests who booked UK packages had transfers included.
The beach is wide and faces the open Caribbean, and guests watched sea turtles come ashore to nest in summer. It also takes sargassum in some summer weeks; staff clear it daily. See our Cancún sargassum season guide, and our Hotel Zone guide for how this stretch compares with the rest of the strip.
