Temptation Cancún Resort (Adults Only)

Temptation's rooms are all for two adults, and they have playful names. The entry rooms are the Trendy rooms, around 30 to 40 m², sold as standard, Garden View or Ocean View. Above them come rooms with in-room jacuzzis, the Bash and Lush tower rooms with ocean views, beachfront suites and a 129 m² master suite. Some categories are sold as "Playful Experience" or "Sexy Bubbles" packages with extras.

The view upgrade is cheap. In our mid-November 2026 price check for three nights, a Trendy Room cost $968, Garden View $1,016 and Ocean View $1,078, taxes included. In mid-January 2027 the same rooms were $1,107, $1,162 and $1,232. On most of our dates only the Trendy categories were for sale.

Pick your room's location carefully. Guests describe party noise reaching their rooms until about 2am, despite soundproofed balcony doors, and one couple next to the pool and restaurants was kept awake by staff clearing up. If sleep matters, ask for a room away from the main pool. One guest noted there are no lifts in parts of the resort.

Check what's included. Guests describe some menu items reserved for a premium menu, areas set aside for higher packages, and pitches for a vacation-club membership at check-in. The resort charges the full stay if you leave early.

Across 2,095 reviews, Temptation scores 8.6 out of 10, and recent reviews are split: of the 120 most recent, 67 gave a perfect 10 and 12 gave 5 or lower. We read the 59 that included text, from May to September 2026.

The party is the point, and most guests love it. Reviews praise the pool parties, themed nights and the entertainment and bar staff. Several call it their favourite hotel and come back for it. Some found the scene tamer than on past trips, and say whether there's a party depends on the guests that week.

The complaints are predictable for a party resort. Noise is the most common: guests hear the party in their rooms until 2am. Others mention a beach that isn't suitable for swimming, food that's better on the premium menu than the standard one, a main buffet that closed for a weekend, and upselling at check-in. A long-time guest felt the resort has declined over the last three years, citing missing pool tiles and a fight at the pool with no security nearby.

Know the house rules and the crowd. One guest had staff check their phone for photos taken in common areas, and another describes people knocking and trying their door at night, and drug use they found unsafe. A gay guest describes the resort as overwhelmingly straight but welcoming.

Temptation is at Km 3.5 on Boulevard Kukulcán, at the northern start of the Hotel Zone, the closest stretch to downtown Cancún. Transfers from Cancún airport to the Hotel Zone usually take 20 to 35 minutes; see our Cancún airport transfer guide.
